HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET MY TATTOO?

You must be at least 18 years of age. It is against New York State law (Section 260.21) to tattoo a minor, even with parental consent.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

All tattoos at Damm Nice start at $200 (down from $300 as a result of the economic impact of the pandemic) and the hourly rate is $360 (down from $500), the final price will depend on size, detail and placement on the body.

 

IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED IN ORDER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes. Typically its 30% of the estimated cost of the tattoo. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo.  Please click here to view our appointment policy.

DOES IT HURT?

Yes. But in the best possible way, Damm Nice uses numbing creams to minimize your discomfort.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?

Eat well before the procedure and remain hydrated throughout your tattoo appointment, if you start feeling woozy, have a sugary beverage. Sugar is your friend to prevent passing out.  Avoid alcohol the day before, alcohol can increase bleeding and blood dilutes the pigments, affecting the outcome of your tattoo as well as the healing process.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

It takes two weeks but it takes months for the skin to fully regenerate.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY NEW TATTOO?

Specific written instructions will be given to you on the day of your tattoo appointment. In addition NO swimming, soaking, tanning, covering with bandages or scratching for three weeks!
